I miss TV turmoil
There’s nothing on today, and that’s really lame.
Remember about a month ago when I posted about all of the crazy stuff happening on TV? Well, I really miss those days.
You see, we have entered the summer. Summer is a wonderful time when the sun is out all day and you can hang out at the beach until you have to return to the soul-crushing reality that is your job at a mini-golf course (I kid. We have fun.).
But summer is also a time of nothing being on TV. Take today, for example.
I have the day off, and there is a thunderstorm going on outside. Seems like the perfect time to relax and watch some TV.
Unfortunately, the World Cup is still on its two-day hiatus and baseball is the only sport being played on TV today (take that, Wimbledon). There’s the Cardinals-Giants game on MLB Network and that’s it.
So, you say, “Just leave the TV on MLB Network all day.” That is asking a lot. Do you know what happens when MLB Network isn’t showing a game?
They decide it’s a good idea to trot out Harold Reynolds or Christopher Russo. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.
I swear that hell is just an eternity of listening to Harold Reynolds and Chris Russo. Heaven, by contrast, would be an eternity hanging out with Vince Russo.
Until then, I will wait for the sweet release of death in front of my computer screen instead of the television.
Yes, I do need a hobby.
