It’s fantasy baseball time
Just ignore the Super Bowl for a second.
Awwwwwwwwwww Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah. It’s time for some fantasy baseball.
The Super Bowl and football and all that stuff is cool (and I’ll get to it tomorrow), but new fantasy baseball league day has a special place in my heart. I was constantly hitting refresh all day until Yahoo! finally decided to launch their game at 8:00 p.m.
Now that the “OOB Baseball League” has been set up, I get to wait over the next fifty days and watch no one sign up. Then I get to scramble to secure the final few players so the league can function. Fun times, fantasy baseball.
Don’t worry too much about me guys, I’ll keep myself occupied. I’ve already begun scouring Rotoworld to develop a draft strategy for team “Dropped Balls.” I’m going to try to make sure that I select some hitters this year.
I also want to give Fantasy Alarm a try this season. Their service definitely would have come in handy during the football season, when I inexplicably started Jacob Tamme in the playoffs. The only problem is I haven’t gotten their site to work yet. Get your site in order, nerds.
Now it may sound like I’m a little over-excited about this, but I’ve been having fantasy withdrawals ever since football ended. This is due to my friends (term used loosely here) not wanting to participate in any hockey/basketball festivities. People always seem to have a problem with non-football fantasy.
The excuse is always “there are too many games,” which I don’t really get. It only takes a couple of seconds in the morning to set a roster. It’s about as hard as checking Facebook or Twitter.
So man up, and enjoy some of this fantasy baseball goodness.
